In this thread I will post helpful tips on how to navigate through this forum. Please post your forum questions on this thread so I can answer it for everyone to see and learn.

Here is a visual aid on how to use some of the forum functions on the forum.

The main thing here is if you click on the little icons displayed in your text window when you type a post, it will put certain words in brackets and if you type between those, you will either bold, underline, change size, change the colour etc of your text. I put the most used but feel free to play with the other features. Try not to clutter too much in the shared areas but you can practice in your Diary Room.

At the top, under the main logo, you will see some options

The two main ones you will use at first is Profile and Messages

Forum: I never use it personally, don't even know what it does but feel free to play around.
Search: To search the forum for key words. Useful if there are a lot of posts and you are looking for something specific.
Members: I also don't use this but it's a way to easily find other members.
Profile: Where you add your profile picture, signature if you want one (don't make it bulky if you put one. It's also where you change your settings for time etc (more to come about this below)
Messages: Your private message (DM) inbox where you can talk to people in private. Admins can see everything on this forum except for your private messages.
Logout: Means what it says lol

Above are my preferences that I have set up in my profile. I suggest you match mine, but mainly I ask that you chose the date format that shows seconds, that is very important because some challenges will be timed and seconds will matter.

To post images

There are two ways depending on if you have a link to the image or if you have to upload the image from your PC. In the end, you have to use step 1 to post either or.

Here is how you do it once you have the link to your image

If you do not already have the link because the image is saved on your PC, you will have to upload it to the forum to get a link and then do like in the image above. To get a link for your saved picture, here are the steps
