| Monk Reaction: Episode 1- Mr. Monk and the Candidate Alright I am about to begin the adventure of a lifetime. I have not heard anything about this show before except it does not include monarchies or the monastery. I have been told to watch this by a few people so here we go. Such a somber beginning. I think I've seen this guy before. I'm afraid to look it up in case of spoilers so you can tell me maybe? He reminds me of the dad from 13 Ghosts? Anyway his character is annoying. He reminds me of some of the players I've seen in the gaming community that spend so much time being anxious about everything. He's brilliant though. I love the campy sounding opening though. It's very indie, but not in the hipster douche way. I'm not sure why but the scene where the guy is sniping from the window randomly reminds me of American Psycho. Just the way the whole room looks before he walks up to the window. Such an iconic movie<3 I want Christian Bale to yell at me on set. This guy is super smart. I kinda dig it. He catches on to a lot of detail that most people don't even care about. It's like when someone's drunk except the total opposite<3 Very meticulous. Anyway, he is kinda dorky. "I want to follow the money." King. What's with all these kids coughing? Don't they know COVID is real? I would be so annoyed if I came into an area and they were just coughing like it's no big deal. Especially booger boy. LOL was he about to go eat that? The million dollar question, is it creamy or is it crunchy? Mr. Monk. I cannot take this name seriously. I know it's technically accurate but everyone is like "Okay Mr. Monk". It sounds like a cute pet name. The fact that he is able to watch the news and realize that something is off is interesting. Also lol @ him coming to the dinner and being a total cock block. More lol @ him calling out the pseudo lawyer. Good riddance. He deserves that for not being able to do his proper research on his lies. YOU GOT GOT. Aw that's sad that he is still researching his wife's murder That's got to be the biggest gut punch of them all. I love that he's dedicated to this. Anyway, I love that he calls all these people out on their BS and gives zero F's about it. They get all defensive like he just slapped them in the face but he is just dropping truth bombs. There's a subtle humor to this show that I didn't fully appreciate when it started but him being a total badass makes up for it. LOL @ the dramatic transition when Monk is watching the cop car drive away and he sees someone climbing down the ladder<3 It's so ridiculously OTT and the music <3 I'm not sure if that was intentional or not but it caught me off guard. The cheesiness is real<3 How cute that he's avoiding the rungs of the ladder<3 I was a little sad he got stuck on the ladder though. I know he's afraid of heights but he was trying to do the right thing and now he reminds me of a cat that got stuck in a tree. OMG @ him figuring out the case. The accomplice backtracking and being a total mess <3 Monk pulling out all the punches and solving the whole case singlehandedly. I will say though, the music for this is entirely lulzy. It's so 90s. It reminds me of all the parodies I've seen in the media, except this is like the real thing? He looks so adorable when he has his hands tucked in his sleeves. I'm so glad that he got the recognition he deserves. How poignant. Of course it ends with him getting in an elevator with someone wheezing all over his victory. | |

| I did enjoy it but I think I would appreciate it more with all my attention on it. I was also trying to keep up with this game too so I wasn't 100% focused. | |

| Oh, yeah. You have to pay attention. His mannerisms are fantastic.
And, yes to 13 Ghosts. I actually watched that again the other night. I could watch it weekly. I fooking love it.
Like my f word workaround? I'm a genius.

| Yes, I noticed all his mannerisms and they remind me of people I know in real life too. So it was realistic. Thirteen Ghosts is iconic. It will never not be scary.
Fook <3 You're a linguistics genius.
