Title: Will the real Cinderella please stand up


Once upon a Time there was a story told for many generations, about some fictional princess named Cinderella and her Prince Charming. The thing many of you don't know is that it's actually inspired from a true story, but the fairytale doesn't have the same ending, that's why Disney never wanted you to know the real story.


In a land far far away (not really it's actually a town called Ashland in Northern Ohio) lived a "Princess" named Marianne with her 2 evil step sisters named Chloe and Nottie. Marianne has a pet frog named Horny Toad Meg and they all live in a little cottage outside the palace. Chloe and Nottie were 2 bratty sisters that always liked to mess with Marianne, stealing her things, cutting her hair when she sleeps or putting her hand in water so she pees herself.


On the night of the famous ball, Marianne managed to convince her step mother to let her go to the ball with Chloe and Nottie under the pretense that she would be their designated pumpkin carriage driver for the night. Chloe and Nottie who planned to get totally trashed and hook up with random princes in the coat check closet saw a benefit in letting Marianne tag along. There were no singing animals making Marianne a dress or a fairy godmother turning her shoes into glass.


When they got to the ball at the palace, it was clear that Marianne was a head turner. She had a long silver dress that fell to the ground behind her. Long legs shimmering in the distance had all the men in the room turn to look at her. To her surprise, the first to approach her was the prince. She had posters of him in her room, she had been dreaming of this day forever. She noticed that he kept looking down at her feet, but she didn't care, he was giving her attention. The prince and Marianne danced the night away. He kept whispering in her ears how stunning she looked, asking her random questions about the shoes she was wearing, where she bought them, they size, etc. At times she found the questions a little strange, but he was so charming, she decided to just pretend he was socially awkward and bad at conversation starters. After a lot of dancing, they sat together and had a few drinks. Disney also omits this part of the story, but Marianne got really wasted that night. She didn't lose her shoe because she had to run out before midnight. She lost her shoe while frolicking somewhere with the prince drunkenly. Chloe and Nottie were so mad at her, they called an Uber and left her there on the steps, drunk and shoeless.


The next morning when she woke up. She looked everywhere for her missing shoe, but it was just simply gone. Who would take just 1 shoe she wondered? She made her way back home, thinking about how she and the prince were going to meet up again soon and have a wonderful fairytale ending.


On the way home, Marianne noticed that the daily newspaper was reporting many reports of women who had lost a shoe at the ball. She thought it was weird, but she decided to focus on the positive, the prince.


The days went on, Marianne kept wondering why the prince hadn't reached out to her. It was not until she saw on the news that the prince was arrested for stealing women's shoes and hoarding them in his dungeon that she realized the prince's interest were not towards her, but towards her shoes.


I'm sorry Walt lied to you, but the whole Cinderella story is really just a weird prince with a shoe fetish.
