Plot: After the death of Sam Dindal along with an unfortunate streak of events such as Louis’ job being laid off, Emma breaking her arm, Mia’s grades in spelling slipping, the landlord selling the building, and the van needing a new fuel pump. The three then go to Sam’s mother’s house, moving from their home in Chicago, also known as Rose. Rose is suffering from the beginning portions of dementia, forgetting her family as well as things like who she stayed with when visiting Sam’s funeral. The two girls then realize they have to work at the ranch and do chores. One of the two girls sees a man with a hat in a mirage before the school bus picks them up. When they go to the store to pick up (Johanson) pills for their grandma, the man with the hat asks the two girls if they were “Rose’s kin.” He then says there’s something magical about the woods behind their grandma’s ranch. Kimmy stops them on their way home with her Lizard. She then steals their bikes. Emma tells her father that she hates him for making her come to the ranch. He follows her to her room later that night and tells her to have a little faith and just try them out. Mia wakes up in the middle of the night to her grandma groaning and moaning in the middle of the night, she just slipped and fell. Mia calmed her nerves by talking with grandma, she tells her that she just has to believe. Their dead mom’s spirit is always with them. Mia wakes up in the middle of the night AGAIN and finds a mysterious pink light in the woods behind the ranch, Mia then takes Emma's phone and follows Monroe, the pet pig, into the forest. She then videotapes/films a live unicorn. When Mia returns at 4am and shows Emma the video, there’s nothing on the screen. (Meaning the camera didn’t pick up the Unicorn at all.) Mia then shows the video to her dad, who validates that there’s nothing in the video. When Mia shows the video to the grandma, the Unicorn is in full sight- meaning only those who believe can see the video. Rose then shows the two a video that her boyfriend took of Bigfoot, except the video is just of a random weirdo going in a dumpster. The next day they go into the Resort Shop again, Mia plays cards and asks “the boyz” (aka the guy with the hat) about Unicorns. Mia believes in Unicorns, but Emma doesn’t, so they make a deal. Emma will go on a Unicorn hunt with Mia to find one, and Mia will help Emma convince Dad to move back to Chicago. Mia asks Emma to pull her hair so she could cry so the Unicorn would appear, but Mia begins crying when she realizes it doesn’t work. Emma then tells her that she believes in Mia, and then a Unicorn appears from a pink portal near them. They lasso its neck, and the Unicorn goes wild. It eventually goes under control and they realize its foot is hurt.

They name the Unicorn Rocco. They then wake up their father in the middle of the night, again, whilst he is wearing a blue Chicago 1908 T-Shirt. He falls back asleep, then they rush back in to say “hurry!” He puts on his glasses and they lead him to the window. Whilst looking out the window, he was unable to see the Unicorn. He saw a floating rope “flapping in the wind.” He goes upstairs to sleep, saying “we’ll talk about it in the morning.” In a light blue floral blanket for Emma, and Mia in a purple-ish/pinkish T-shirt and teal sleeping-bag-type blanket, the Grandma walks in with a white cardigan & overalls and immediately recognizes the Unicorn. She notices the Unicorn’s sprain and mentions how their mom used to be friends with a Unicorn in the past. In a flashback, a cowboy-esque man with a lasso chases a Unicorn lasso’s it and then gets shot with an arrow in the leg by Emma/Mia’s mom, thus letting the Unicorn get away. Mia asks the Grandma to keep him, but the Grandma said the Unicorn is mighty powerful, saying most folks aren’t prepared to handle the magic. Mia then says that “Willy said that if you take off a Unicorns horn and drink its blood, you’ll live forever.” Grandma says that without respect, Unicorns are dangerous, though he can stay in the Ranch for a couple of days until Rocco’s leg heals. Emma put her faith in Mia, thus, was able to see Rocco. One of the only rules of Unicorns is to NEVER TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FRIENDSHIP. Then, the Unicorn escapes in the middle of the night, but overhears Mia praying to her mom and thanking her for sending the Unicorn from heaven, and decides to get back in the stable. In the morning, the kids are eating eggs and pancakes whilst drinking orange juice and what I think might be iced tea. Mia is wearing a pink T-shirt with overalls in a ponytail and Emma is wearing a hot pink plaid. In the background, the Unicorn is in their house and is making them laugh whilst their father scolds them for keeping him up all night. The Unicorn helps them with every single chore, and they suddenly get amazing luck such as extreme balancing, always flipping a coin on the side they want, finding oil in the ground, and perhaps breaking a world record for finding a needle in a haystack. They then decide to bring Rocco to school. The kids are too distracted by their phones to notice (if they could even see.) Then the man with the cowboy hat appears again from earlier, following the bus. The two girls sit in a bus seat in front of Patrick as Rocco burns his name into the bus seat in front of them. Patrick asks who Rocco is and Emma says it’s just her sister’s unicorn. Emma thinks that Patrick suspects that she’s still in love with her “boyfriend from chicago” though Mia says nobody would believe that. Rocco opens the bus window and the bus runs through mud, making it splash over all the mean kids, but not on Emma, Mia, or Patrick. Rocco then gives Mia the correct math answer, helps Emma with her art project, helps Mia spell “stroopwafel.” In the lunch line, Mia is able to take all 3 slices of pizza. As Kimmy demands a lunchroom toll from Mia, the unicorn knocks over Kimmy’s tray on her clothes in front of everyone, making it look like an accident. Mia then says “sucks to be you.” The movie pans to the 3 men from the Resort, one of them, the Unicorn obsessed one, sees the two girls with the Unicorn outside. That night the two girls are in the stable and offer Rocco a carrot, who declines. He lays down for bed. Mia was wearing a blue t-shirt. As Mia and Emma leave, the old unicorn obsessed guy is outside. In the middle of the night, Emma and Mia wake up to wailing and other weird noises, so they investigate with a flashlight and a phone light. They investigate and find a tarp over a weird object making noises, so they take it off, and find their grandma and her boyfriend making the fuck out. His name is Bud. Rose is wearing a pink collared shirt and overalls, Emma is wearing a blue night t-shirt and red/white striped pants, Mia is wearing a light purple/gray t-shirt, and Bud is wearing green plaid with a hat and jeans. Bud is bald. The hat man then walks in the stable at night to steal the Unicorn. He said the Unicorn is the most beautiful thing that that old cataract man has seen. The Unicorn duels with the man and lets out violent pink arrays while he tries to take its horn. It pushes him off, and suddenly he is cured of his arthritis and back pain. He says he will take the horn if he has to. Rose then deus ex machina and shoots at him with a crossbow. He does multiple flips and martial arts dodges whilst climbing a ladder. She continues to shoot at him as he flips off the roof and starts running. And I mean BOOKING it. He was doing supernatural and inhuman FORCE JUMPS dodging those arrows. Mia wakes up in the middle of the night convinced she heard something. The Unicorn then wakes up the dad while. Rose climbs a tree whilst hat man does the same, and Dad is now on his way to help. She corners him in the trunk, but ends up fainting from a heart injury. It seems the unicorn gave hat man a run for his money. The ambulance then shows up outside their home for Rose. Emma cries asking what happened, and the dad then comforts them. He explains how your body deteriorates when you get older. He explains that her heart gave out when Mia says she has the best heart in the whole world. The movie cuts to hat man as a bull rider in an area where a conspicuously dressed, evil looking cowboy (hat guy) wins an arm wrestle against a body builder easily. The girls want to bring the Unicorn to Grandma to have it heal her, but the dad says he loves their imaginations-they get it from their mom- but they need to tone it down. They say that, unlike their mother, they won't sit and wait. They devise a plan to put a top hat with a gold stripe on it, but the issue is that the hat isn’t magical. Kimmy then stops them with Priscilla in a tutu on the bridge again. They explain they had a family emergency and Kimmy “completely understands.” They just need to pay the entrance fee. Mia explains that it’s extortion, then Mia says they only have Emma’s babysitting money & $16.11 from Mia’s- “STOP HELPING HER!” Then the Unicorn pokes Kimmy. And then again. And then again. Mia then pretends the Unicorn is the spirit of their deceased mother. By the way, Mia is in a fake cowboy shirt and hat while Emma has a weirdly striped, collared shirt with a bolo tie, tucked into high waisted dress pants with a belt. THEY GOT DRIP ON TODAY! They begin to wave their hands in front of Kimmy as she explains that she doesn’t believe in ghosts, when Mia commands the Unicorn “Mom, jab this bullies’ left shin!” And so Rocco does. Then the right buttcheek, then left shin again, then right knee, smacks her face, stomps her foot, so Kimmy lets them through. Back in Bernie’s, the Boyz are playing poker. Mia walks in and asks where Willy is. Willy = hat man btw. She explains that her unicorn is a he, because he has a horn. Emma asks Patrick to steal his paw’s truck. Patrick is wearing a frontwards-facing blue baseball cap with a light blue plaid collared shirt tucked into work pants and a belt. He’s putting away an assortment of fruits and veggies. I don't know which fruits he’s holding, but the shelf contains green bell peppers, red peppers that AREN’T bell peppers, red apples, lemons, limes, and perhaps potatoes. Emma tries to make a bet if a quarter lands on heads 10- no, 20 times in a row. If she wins, he steals the truck. If he wins, he gets $57 and a gift card to Komodo Dragon Dress Emporium. It was a trick coin, right? “It was your quarter.” Emma says. He offers to go again, this time with a nickel. He keeps losing even then. Rocco’s magic will protect Mia from the bumpy road, they aren’t going on the highway after all. The movie pans to the rodeo area post show to a harlot with promiscuous booty shorts and a crop top picnic gingham flowy shirt. Willy is there doing pull ups, getting to only 97. Willy explains to said harlot he can only do so many because he’s on pure unicorn, she then explains that she should try some at coachella, making a drug joke. Nice one. He spins her and asks to paint the town red with her. She says he has a lot of energy, but he’s “hella old.” LMFAOOOO GET HIM GIRL!! The movie pans to the kids driving the car… Really badly. The Unicorn farts and they almost hit a ton of cows. The gear shift breaks off and then the Unicorn digs a hole through the trailer to stop it. No more carrots for Rocco! Patrick then sees Rocco after believing them. They decide to wait for Pat’s Paw to pick them up. They almost kiss, but then a tow truck comes for them. Willie is then breaking into the stable, but Rocco is gone. He leaves behind a Unicorn turd while Willie starts eating it. His hair falls out and he decides to kick it into overdrive. They’re short $100 for repairs on the trailer. They decide to gamble on scratch tickets, getting $100. Mia then gets a free sprite. In the shop, Willie busts in saying that they got a real unicorn. Willie then entices them to live forever, telling them to help him. Kimmy joins them because she wants revenge. Willy has a hemorrhoid pillow on his horse. In the hospital, Mr Backman is getting a gallbladder removal surgery. The nurses thought his anesthesia kicked in because he saw a unicorn. There are 6 babies crying, but the unicorn stops them for a few seconds. They pass a crazy person and get attached to a ton of balloons too. Rocco finds a way to heal a few sick children. These kids believed the impossible was still possible. They bring Rocco to Rose. Mia tells her to get healed by Ricco, but she decides not to. Rose says she has her own magic, hanging on to her rusty old parts until her own magic runs out. Rose comforts them. She says that Rocco is running out of good fortune and she doesn’t want him to use the last of it on her. Rose takes off her IV and runs away to help them. Bud or Patrick's Dad, idk which shows up with a sunflower, and then drives them to the forest. Rose asks Patrick what his intentions with his granddaughter were. The boyz then stops them on the bridge. Weekly begins to take Rocco and runs away with him. The boyz threw off Rose/Buds keys. Their dad picks them up, and asks which one Rocco is- but they both say it’s the Unicorn. They all get in the car. Movie pans to a casino where all the cowboys are vibing. Willie struts in with Rocco and uses tons of his luck on banking out. Monroe is also with the family. Uncle Jeff and Aunt Erica offered to take Emma, and he agreed. Emma says her dad needs trust in the family. Mia says he doesn’t have to believe in Unicorns, but to believe in them. He then pulls into the Casino. The adults go in to save Rocco and task the girls with changing Monroe’s diaper. The dad asks about Mia Dindal to Crazy Willie- Willie’s just fine, Rose and Bud come in. Knives were then pulled on them. Rocco’s luck ran out, and Mia booked it with Rocco. She then rides him and jousts, jumping over a poker table. The Dad begins to see the Unicorn. Patrick calls Emma pretty, and they get stopped from kissing for the third time. Everyone gets in the car as a cow blocks them from backing up trying to chase after Willie. Willie lasso’s the horn and misses. Mia runs off a cliff with Rocco and Willie does the same and dies. Rocco then turns out to be able to fly, the impossible is possible. Later, they return Rocco to the forest with his mom. Patrick kisses Emma, the movie pans back to Willie who is on the cliff on a breaking branch. Movie ends.
